Last week?s record was doomed by The No Show Factor. Paging New Orleans, Carolina, Buffalo and Green Bay ? the regular season has started. The Packers got their memo in time to beat Chicago on Thursday. Let?s see if the other 0-1 teams can even things up.

On to the picks ?
Texans (minus 7.5) at Jaguars: I?d like the Jags to maybe pull the upset if they were healthy at right tackle, left guard, outside linebacker, cornerback ? you get the picture. Too much attrition but they?ll make it close. Texans 24-20.
Buccaneers (plus 7) at Giants: Big Blue looked out of sync a week ago Wednesday and Tampa Bay was a surprise Week 1 winner. Crucial spot for the Giants ? 0-1, home game Sunday, away game Thursday. Giants 28-27.
Cardinals (plus 13.5) at Patriots: New England is back in familiar territory ? a double-digit home favorite for the 19th time since 2007 (they?ve covered nine times). The last time Arizona visited, it lost 47-7 ? and didn?t lose again until the Super Bowl. Patriots 35-20.
Vikings (minus 1.5) at Colts: The Jaguars? Week 1 and Week 3 opponents face off in Andrew Luck?s home debut. Minnesota beat the Jaguars and the only things to like about the Vikings were their running back and kicker. Colts 17-15.
Saints (minus 2.5) at Panthers: Both had stinker-type losses, New Orleans at home to the Redskins and Carolina at Tampa Bay. This game is probably more important to the Panthers, who don?t want to be 0-2 in the division. The Saints rebound. Saints 41-34.
Chiefs (plus 3) at Bills: Geez, I wonder what Mario Williams is thinking about right now ? is he ticked by last week?s debacle in the Swamp or saying to himself, ?At least I got my money.? No reason to like either team. Chiefs 10-7.
Ravens (plus 2.5) at Eagles: Vegas has to be going with the short week for the Ravens, on the road for the Ravens, Vick won?t throw four interceptions theory for the Eagles. Why else give Baltimore points? It looked like the AFC?s best team in throttling Cincinnati. Ravens 21-17.
Raiders (minus 2.5) at Dolphins: Sucker bet, taking Oakland off a short week, cross-country trip and south Florida heat. Miami stinks, but it has to realize this is one of its few chances at victory. Dolphins 17-11.
Browns (plus 7) at Bengals: At least the state of Ohio has Urban Meyer. Bengals 14-12.
Cowboys (minus 3) at Seahawks: Dallas has been unable in recent years to handle any prosperity and now it?s been patted on the back since beating the Giants. Hello trap. Seahawks 28-24.
Redskins (minus 3) at Rams: Robert Griffin III Mania has gripped the Nation?s Capital ? I don?t even live there anymore and people are Tweeting me questions and comments about the Redskins. But they?ve struggled with St. Louis (2-2). Rams 14-10.
Jets (plus 5) at Steelers: So much for a crisis for Gang Green. Tim Tebow didn?t even need to be unleashed. Pittsburgh has some issues on its offensive line (again) and is banged up on defense, but the Steelers don?t lose these head banger ball-type games. Steelers 24-20.
Titans (plus 6) at Chargers: The Chris Berman Play By Play Factor plus the late starting time probably meant many didn?t see San Diego?s win over Oakland (present company included. Chargers 21-17.
Lions (plus 6.5) at 49ers: Handshake Bowl. That?s out of the way. San Francisco was the NFC?s most impressive team in Week 1, handling Green Bay on the road. I?m not a big Lions guy yet. 49ers 33-24.
Broncos (plus 3) at Falcons: Jacksonville, this one is for you ? Jack Del Rio?s Denver defense vs. Dirk Koetter?s Atlanta offense. Oh, and that Manning guy. Here?s hoping for a shootout. Broncos 42-35.
