Make Sure Your Business Plan Has An Internet Marketing Plan

There have been many novice PC users who have seen major success with Internet businesses; you may be the next Internet superstar. The tips provided here will guide you along the path to becoming a highly effective Internet marketer.

Seek partnerships with fellow online merchants so that you can put together joint offerings that you can sell at competitive prices. This tactic is a sound strategy to create connections between multiple markets. This has a cumulative effect of boosting overall revenue. Online travel services are the quintessential example of good packaging. They combine the services of airplane ticketing, car rental and hotel booking, generating higher sales volume for all three and making their own tidy profit. This technique works very well for companies who offer complementary products without being rivals.

If your business has a successful marketing plan, you are probably aware of which specific products and services consistently generate the most profit. Use your most profitable products as a way to generate additional sales. Advertise your big sellers and provide bridges to complementary products once you have sold your most popular product. This will help some of your other products get a sales boost from your best sellers, and they will require less advertising than other products that don?t have some kind of tie-in.

HTML tags are very important for optimizing your website for search engines. Your important content is indicated by these tags and will be displayed in bold. A search engine spider will judge your page based on what is emphasized by these tags. Be sure to emphasize the important keywords.

Offer people a guarantee when you market your products on the Internet. Customers want to know that your product is a sure bet before they part with their hard-earned cash. You can offer different types of guarantees for different products. Two options are 90 day guarantees and lifetime guarantees. Depending on the quality of your product, you should choose the guarantee that will provide confidence without destroying your profits.

Real-time leads are necessary if you are looking to increase sales. These sorts of leads give you the access to a customer who has searched for info on your products. With a real-time lead, you get a potential customer?s information the moment they inquire about your products.

There is tough competition on the Internet from big companies. There are a couple things you can do to try and stay ahead of the game. You should re-price your items often to stay competitive with others in the same niche. Make sure you have a centralized web store where people can see all of the things you have to offer.

Try different ways to award prizes. For example, you can try disguising certain words into your articles and asking your customers to locate them. Offer prizes and discounts for those that find them. Having activities on your site that involve customers makes the experience more personal and encourages them to come back.

Closely evaluate the actions of your top competitors and analyze that data to formulate your own plans. If you see yourself as a potential customer for their products, then they are doing something right. You should find a way to incorporate these ideas into your strategy.

Create a website that has informative content and is easy to navigate. Your main goal is to educate your audience about your product or service in a limited amount of time. To keep your audience?s attention, make sure you do not repeat any statements and keep out useless and filler content.

No internet marketing venture will succeed through luck alone, so remember that it always takes hard work and dedication. The same is true for any other business; no successful business got where it is today through luck alone. Coke was not ?lucky? when they invented their famous soft drink. It certainly wasn?t. It took quite a bit of skilled marketing to turn it into a best-seller.

Give your customers the chance to sign up to your Ezine. This effective marketing tool is especially potent if you create an interesting Ezine that promotes a strong relationship with subscribers. Bring your personality into your site with pictures of staff and family. Don?t be afraid to share funny or interesting stories from your personal life with your readers. When you use a title that sparks their interest, they will be more likely to click!

Think seriously about mobile marketing. You could, for instance, send out mobile alerts when you are having a special sale. Mobile marketing is quickly becoming a necessary component of any successful marketing campaign.

Make sure you use offer customers a guarantee, it is a surefire way to increase your success. While guarantees may not always be true, they will greatly enhance the number of sales you generate. They work hard for their money, and a guarantee makes them feel comfortable about spending it.

Most mobile phone companies let you add a dedicated work number to your existing phone. It is important, therefore, that you take the necessary steps to get a number.

Knowing what your competition is up to is a necessity if you want to stay ahead of them. Peruse your competitors? websites, noting what they could be doing better. If you see that other websites lack a certain service or element, develop this characteristic on your own website.

Keep customers coming back by sending coupons with every purchase. People love coupons and are eager to get a good deal on any additional purchases at your website.

You need to have a list of customers and addresses. Allow sign-ups on your site or require emails for purchases. This information can be used to solicit customer feedback or contact customers with sales and special offers.

Nearly any ad will benefit from including a promise to keep the process of purchasing fast and gratifying. Brag about how quickly your customers can use your site, have products delivered to their front doors and see the amazing results of using your products or services. This means improving download speed, having very fast checkouts, or quickly confirming orders.

It will take a while to master a niche, but you need to start in order to reach that phase. This information will help you get started with reaching your goals.

Chronic stress during pregnancy prevents brain benefits of motherhood

ScienceDaily (Oct. 13, 2012) ? A new study in animals shows that chronic stress during pregnancy prevents brain benefits of motherhood, a finding that researchers suggest could increase understanding of postpartum depression.

Rat mothers showed an increase in brain cell connections in regions associated with learning, memory and mood. In contrast, the brains of mother rats that were stressed twice a day throughout pregnancy did not show this increase.

The researchers were specifically interested in dendritic spines -- hair-like growths on brain cells that are used to exchange information with other neurons.

Previous animal studies conducted by lead author Benedetta Leuner of Ohio State University showed that an increase of dendritic spines in new mothers' brains was associated with improved cognitive function on a task that requires behavioral flexibility -- in essence, enabling more effective multitasking. The dendritic spines increased by about 20 percent in these brain regions in new mothers, according to her findings.

The stress in this new study negated those brain benefits of motherhood, causing the stressed rats' brains to match brain characteristics of animals that had no reproductive or maternal experience.

The stressed rats also had less physical interaction with their babies than did unstressed rats, a behavior observed in human mothers who experience postpartum depression.

"Animal mothers in our research that are unstressed show an increase in the number of connections between neurons. Stressed mothers don't," said Leuner, assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at Ohio State and lead author of the study. "We think that makes the stressed mothers more vulnerable. They don't have the capacity for brain plasticity that the unstressed mothers do, and somehow that's contributing to their susceptibility to depression."

Leuner described the research during a talk on October 13 in New Orleans at Neuroscience 2012, the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience.

Previous research has suggested that there are a number of risk factors for postpartum depression, including hormone fluctuations, prior history of mental illness and environmental factors such as smoking or low socioeconomic status. One of the strongest predictors, however, is chronic stress during pregnancy, so Leuner sought to create an animal model that could help explain brain changes linked to postpartum depression.

"It's devastating not only for the mother, because it affects her well-being, but previous research also has shown that children of depressed mothers have impaired cognitive and social development, may have impaired physical development, and are more likely as adults to have depression or anxiety," she said. "A better understanding of postpartum depression is important to help the mother but also to prevent some of the damaging effects that this disorder can have on the child."

The researchers exposed pregnant rats to stress twice a day by limiting their mobility on some days and on other days placing them in water. For three weeks after the rats gave birth, Leuner and colleagues monitored the rats.

The animals showed classic signs of the effects of stress, including lower than normal weight gain and enlarged adrenal glands, a sign of high stress-hormone production. The mothers stressed during pregnancy also gave birth to smaller pups.

"And they were not very good mothers," Leuner said. After separation from pups for 30 minutes, unstressed mothers would gather up their babies, put them in the nest and nurse them. Stressed mother rats left the pups scattered around, wandered around the cage and fed the babies less frequently. The stressed mother rats also exhibited more floating than unstressed rats in a water test; animals that float rather than swim are showing depressive-like symptoms.

"These findings in rats mimic some of the symptoms that are seen in women with postpartum depression," Leuner said.

An examination of the animals' brains showed that the rats exposed to chronic stress did not grow the additional dendritic spines in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex that the unstressed mother rats did. The stressed rats' brains more closely resembled the brains of control rats that had never been mothers.

"We don't yet know what the exact trigger is for the increase in spines in motherhood, but we know that the increase goes away with stress," Leuner said.

She is continuing the work by investigating whether the beneficial effects of motherhood on cognitive functions are also blocked in mothers who are exposed to pregnancy stress as well as whether hormonal factors play a role.

This work was supported by the National Institute of Mental Health and a Brain & Behavior Research Foundation Young Investigator Award. Leuner co-authored the presentation with Peter Fredericks of Ohio State's Department of Psychology.

Business School Admissions Blog | MBA Admission Blog | Blog ...

Again we pose the rhetorical question: Chicago Booth is only a finance school, right??Wrong. In the past, we have discussed the?strengths of the school?s marketing program, to the surprise of some. We feel that not enough applicants are aware of Chicago Booth?s robust ?hands-on? entrepreneurial offerings, available through its Michael P. Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship. Where to begin?

Chicago Booth?s practical academic programs extend into the field of entrepreneurship with the school?s ?New Venture and Small Enterprise Lab.? Herein, students work for up to ten hours per week for an entire quarter within a host firm or take on a dedicated project in a class designed to train those who intend to ultimately join start-ups or consult to them. In addition, the Polsky Center sponsors the annual Edward L. Kaplan New Venture Challenge (NVC), a business plan competition that in 2011 awarded $75,000 to students as seed money for winning bids. Up to four winners of the NVC are invited to join the ARCH Venture Partners New Business Incubator for one year (or until they receive funding to launch their businesses), where they benefit from faculty support and office resources. Since 1996, the center has awarded more than $750,000 to help launch more than 75 companies that, in turn, have raised $235M in capital in spaces as diverse as payment solutions, flexible solar panels, food preparation and children?s toys.

Further, entrepreneurially minded Chicago Booth students can apply for funding from the Hyde Park Angels (HPA), a group of Booth EMBAs who make investments of up to $1M in start-ups. Although the HPA is an arms-length organization and does not exclusively source investments from Chicago Booth, it maintains a connection to the Polsky Center, which supports the HPA?s mission. The HPA offers students the opportunity to intern as associates and gain venture capital experience while at the school.?Tom Ancona, assistant director of the HPA, told mbaMission that eight to ten students generally serve as HPA associates during the school year, while two serve over the summer.

Believe it or not, we are just scratching the surface here. Again, Chicago Booth is most definitely not ?just a finance school.?

How do you get loan or even loan?

Based on your condition of house, job standing and revenue, you'll be able to be eligible for that loan up to $1500, even though some loan providers will loan a maximum of $500. You'll have a opportunity to observe how much you be entitled to just before accepting just about any bank loan agreement.

There's an essential legitimate big difference from a present and also a loan. A really nice family member as well as buddy could give you $5000 for auto repairs, for example. When there's no expectation of payment, the money can be viewed a gift. The provider could not file suit for payment after inside a city suit. But when the loan supplier designates the money like a bank loan and also the consumer pays back even a dollar, the amount of money can be viewed a legitimate loan and also the loan company could need repayment anytime. Little claims legal courts invest much of time identifying regardless of whether the transaction which includes money will be a present or bank loan. Because of this paperwork is very important when designing personal lending options to good friends or family.

The requirements to get that loan are pretty straight forward. In case you are employed, having a monthly income regarding $800 or higher, and also a bank-account, you satisfy the fundamental qualifications. Some creditors inside our network could have additional requirements.

Money financial loans tend to be unsecured lending products removed on the next salary. Because they're short-term financial loans, they may be small; varying from $100 to $1500 as well as payment comes to the next pay day. They might be very useful for overcoming a quick monetary crisis, however shouldn't be thought to be a long-term fiscal solution.

The majority of loan programs tend to be addressed by banking institutions or other expert loan providers. They could make use of a variety of conditions to find out if the potential customer is actually skilled for a financial loan. Past credit score is nearly always regarded, along with existing revenue as well as assets. The objective of the credit can be a great issue-a set up investment possibility might have much more appeal than a good misguided concept for just about any new restaurant. One essential point may be the profits in order to debt ratio from the client. May the customer manage to spend the money for loan back along with interest? Professional loan providers essentially 'sell' income, so consumers should know simply how much financing actually 'costs' with regards to actual money.

Earnhardt Jr to miss 2 races after 2 concussions

CONCORD, N.C. (AP) ? Dale Earnhardt Jr. knew he had suffered a concussion in an August crash so jolting that other drivers tweeted about it immediately after the impact.

Earnhardt was too stubborn to see a doctor about it. He was too worried he would be yanked from his car, derailing his long-suffering Sprint Cup Championship hopes.

So he kept it a secret until a 25-car accident on the last lap Sunday at Talladega left him with a lingering headache.

NASCAR's most popular driver sought medical attention from a neurosurgeon, who found Earnhardt had indeed suffered two concussions in six weeks and could not be medically cleared to race. Earnhardt said Thursday he will sit out the next two weeks, at Charlotte and Kansas, ending his championship chances.

"I would love to race this weekend, and I feel perfectly normal and feel like I could compete if I were allowed to compete," Earnhardt said. "But I think that the basis of this whole deal is that I've had two concussions in the last (six) weeks, and you can't layer concussions. It gets extremely dangerous."

A decade ago, it was Earnhardt who helped spur changes in how NASCAR handled drivers showing signs of a concussion.

He self-diagnosed a concussion from an accident at California, but didn't tell anyone about it until revealing in an interview weeks later that he'd been having difficulty focusing and communicating with his crew chief. Within days of his admission, NASCAR strengthened its commitment to keeping drivers with concussions off the track.

NASCAR ruled that drivers unable to drive their car back to the garage after an accident had to make a mandatory trip to the infield care center. The attending physician could then refer a driver to a neurosurgeon for a CT scan or MRI if they suspected a concussion.

Clearance to race after suffering a concussion is not given until after a driver obtains a medical release.

"I think we've got a pretty good history of sending drivers to the care center and then also to a neurologist if we think there may be any cause to do so," said NASCAR senior vice president Steve O'Donnell, who added that only nine drivers from NASCAR's three national series have suffered concussions in the last five years.

Of course, Earnhardt proved Thursday that NASCAR isn't always in the know.

Earnhardt's first concussion this season came in an Aug. 29 wreck during a tire test at Kansas. His crash into the wall when his right front tire failed was so hard that Brad Keselowski immediately tweeted about. Earnhardt was seen after the accident in the back of an ambulance, but was not treated in the infield care center and did not seek further examination elsewhere.

He attended a Washington Redskins exhibition game later that night, but admitted Thursday he knew he suffered a concussion.

"You know your body, and you know how your mind works, and I knew something was just not quite right," he said. "But I decided to just try to push through and work through it. I'd had concussions before and knew exactly kind of what I was dealing with."

Kansas Speedway president Pat Warren said Thursday the speedway was well-staffed with medical personnel for the August tire test, and that Earnhardt was assessed in the ambulance by a paramedic who has worked for 12 years at the track.

"She went up and assessed Dale with the questions they ask when they are worried about a head injury ? he answered them all correctly," Warren said.

Warren said he also spoke to Earnhardt after he was back in the garage and already changed out of his firesuit, and the driver said he felt fine. The fire chief on staff at the track that day also asked Earnhardt in the garage the same set of questions intended to determine head injuries and checked for dilated pupils, Warren said.

Earnhardt said he regrets not seeing anyone about that concussion, but admitted to crew chief Steve Letarte what had happened and said he would not have raced at Atlanta the next weekend if he'd not felt well.

"With the Chase coming up, I didn't know how difficult ? if I was to volunteer myself to get medical attention and be removed from the car, I didn't know how difficult it would be to get back in," he said. "But I was honest with Steve and told Steve, 'When we get to Atlanta and if I don't feel good, I'm going to be honest with you and tell you that we need to have something as a backup plan for me to get out of the car.'"

He didn't give himself the same leeway this week, when he suffered a lingering headache following the last lap accident at Talladega. Although Earnhardt said the impact was half as hard as the Kansas hit, "I knew as soon as it happened that I had reinjured myself."

Earnhardt didn't have to make the mandatory trip to the care center on Sunday because he was able to drive his car away from the accident ? teammate Jimmie Johnson even caught a lift on the window back to the garage.

He sought out personal physician Dr. Jerry Petty, a neurosurgeon who consults with NASCAR and the NFL's Carolina Panthers, on Tuesday and underwent an MRI on Wednesday, his 38th birthday. The MRI showed no damage, but Petty said Earnhardt was candid about his symptoms that last six weeks and he diagnosed a pair of concussions.

"His eyes did what they were supposed to do, his balance tests and so forth are perfect," Petty said. "The one test, the one symptom that is more important than all the tests is headache, and as long as there's any headache, the brain is not healed."

Petty said Earnhardt will not be cleared to race again until he's gone at least four days headache-free, and goes through a test in which Petty tries to provoke a headache.

"If we can't, we'll let him go out and drive a lap or two and see how that goes, and if that goes well, we'll probably clear him to race," Petty said.

Hendrick Motorsports tabbed Regan Smith to replace Earnhardt in the No. 88 Chevrolet the next two races. Smith had been scheduled to drive the No. 51 for Phoenix Racing in Saturday night's race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and AJ Allmendinger will now drive that car in his first start since his July 7 suspension for failing a random drug test.

This weekend's race will be the first since Sept. 3, 1979, that will not include an Earnhardt in the field. Earnhardt's father, seven-time NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt, was killed on the last lap of the 2001 Daytona 500.

Earnhardt, who snapped a 143-race winless streak this season that dated to 2008, opened the Chase as a strong contender to win his first Sprint Cup title. This injury ends his chances, which were a longshot anyway because of a mediocre start to the Chase.

The crash at Talladega dropped him to 11th in the Chase standings, and missing two races means he'll most certainly finish last in the 12-driver Chase race. He'll also end his streak of 461 consecutive starts, which is the fifth longest active streak in the Sprint Cup Series.

Team owner Rick Hendrick praised Earnhardt for seeking medical care this week.

"I think a lot of guys would try to play hurt," Hendrick said. "I applaud Dale for raising his hand and going in there and getting checked out."

O'Donnell said NASCAR will likely review the Kansas accident and see if series officials should have handled Earnhardt's care differently.

Other sports have struggled with their handling of concussion, especially football and hockey.

After years of denying any connection between head injuries suffered on the field and later brain injuries, the NFL now has a protocol before players can return if they show symptoms of a concussion. The NFL is also being sued by more than 3,000 former players who claim it didn't do enough to protect them.

O'Donnell said drivers have to take some responsibility for their health, as well.

"The process of an evaluation for any athlete or driver, it's not just NASCAR making the call," O'Donnell said. "It has to be the driver as well letting us know how he's feeling. We'll look at Kansas and see what we may be able to do better."

Nationwide Series driver Eric McClure was held out six weeks this season with lingering effects of a concussion suffered at Talladega. McClure said the concussion he sustained in the May 5 race was the third of his career, and the frequency was one of the main reasons his doctors and NASCAR officials made him sit out for an extended period of time.

Sprint Cup Series points leader Keselowski knows how hard it is for a driver to consider sitting out a race. He broke his ankle in a crash while testing last summer, and although he had a backup driver on standby, he didn't miss a Cup start.

"It's your worst fear, to not be in the race," he said. "Missing the show is terrible."
